Thank you very much for your patience.   We are doing our best as we do have limited hands for this huge undertaking.

  1. If you use the email with the domain, please make sure you have notified us of the email you wish to setup.  We’ll send you further instructions on how to change passwords, access webmail etc.
  2. We are restoring each site manually from backup, this process takes time, as it is not automated. If there is anything wrong with your website after its restored please send us an email as it will be much faster than phoning us.  If you call me (1 888 256 3096) I will do my best to answer.
  3. Once we get the sites backup we’ll get in contact with you regarding instructions on accessing and editing the websites.

SiteProPlus Emergency Issue

We have had an emergency issue with our server.  The data center that we use, DataPipe, had some hard drive issues which they tried to rectify on the morning of January 19th.   Unfortunately they unintentionally caused a permanent corruption of the hard drive.  As a result we are moving our business away from them for obvious reasons.  They also corrupted the software system that SiteProPlus was operating under.  Although we have backups of all your files, the old SiteProPlus software system is not worth salvaging as it was dated and needed to be replaced.  If you already have a custom site with us you are not affected as you are already on a new system.  If you are curious on the technical issues causing this, please refer to

As a result our priority is:

  • we will need to get your email up
  • rebuild your site from our backups on a new content management system.

New WordPress Content Management System (CMS)

As the old software system was built 5 years ago we have decided to upgrade to a new software, WordPress,, that is superior in every way particularly in terms of usability and for search optimization.  This platform is always updated by its developers as it is one of the most popular software systems in the world for managing websites.

To transition the process, here is what we’ll do:

  1. 1. First issue is restoring your email:
  • If you are using our email please send me a reply to to let us know the following:
    • Your email address aliases and passwords.  If you don’t know your passwords that’s fine we’ll set a default to you.  For example,,
    • Once we receive this we will reconfigure your email and send you instructions on how to access the webmail and setup your pop email account.
  1. 2. New Website rebuild
  • We will be recreating your website from scratch based on our backups on WordPress.
  • This will start immediately but will take some time as we work our way through the queue.
  • We will build it up to the same or nearly the same as it was previously based on the files we have.   This situation is similar to transcribing a written document into a digital document by hand.
  • Unfortunately at this time we cannot process custom design requests or modifications due to the volume.  We can get to this later.
  • While your site is being built we will put together a landing page with your email, phone number on it and say that the site is being rebuilt and will be brought back up.
  • Our designer may contact you by email or phone to fill in the missing details on your website if any during the recreation process.  Her email is
  • Your new website will be better, easier to manage than ever before.  We will be training you on how to use this system as it’s far easier to use.
  1. 3. How long will this take?
  • Email – The first step is to repoint your domain name to our new servers.  This will take at most 1 day as the changes will need to be propagated.
  • Website –  This will be queued up and we will get to your site up as soon as possible.  During the downtime, you will be compensated.
  1. 4. Compensation

We sincerely apologize for this situation.  We don’t want to lay blame here but this is a situation that happens once in a blue moon, that was totally unexpected.  Due to the inconvenience we have caused we will be doing one the following:

  • Adding an extension to your account of at least 1 month or refunding you at minimum 1 month’s fees.
  • Providing you with a $200 credit on any of our internet marketing services.

You will see that the new system is much improved.  We apologize that this had to happen but this was simply beyond our control.  We accept full responsibility and please be patient with us as we rebuild your website.

As you know we bought the business 3 months ago and have been trying to update the old software system. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this.

For those that are curious and are not knowledgeable about how the website/server/datacenter relationship works here’s an overview.

  • Servers (high end computers where your website is hosted) are hosted at datacenters where technical experts manage the hardware and maintain connectivity.
  • Our work is domain name management, software upgrades, support, design and services.
  • The data center we use is one of the biggest in the world and they try to preemptively address failures such as hard drive failure.  Because the server they used was dated, they attempted to update the hard drive which caused a conflict with the hardware chassis.  The hard drive couldn’t be recognized with modern chassis.  Although they tried to restore from their backups the software system that SiteProPlus operated under was dated and they didn’t have new hardware that worked with the software.
  • We had to make a professional decision whether or not to continue working with the current system which would cause continual downtime or to upgrade all at once.   We chose the latter and the cost is extremely steep for us since we are absorbing the costs of the site rebuild which is very substantial.

Paypal Subscription Payments – Possible Issues – FAQ

To increase the security for our clients we have implemented a new security policy centered on Paypal.   Besides convenience and security, Paypal protects consumers due to their favorable consumer protection policies.

For the convenience of our customers, we have  setup all of our customers billing details as a Paypal subscription.  Paypal subscriptions are convenient for customers since you are charged automatically on a monthly, semi-annual or annual basis as your account becomes due.  However on occasion there are possible problems that may occur. Read below for more.

Here are a a few FAQs:

FAQ 1.  How do I cancel my subscription should I need to cancel?

You can cancel it by contacting us by email or you can do it yourself.  Refer to

FAQ 2.  Why does my credit card not show “SiteProPlus” as the merchant?

Our Paypal account is registered under “Web Venture Asia Inc.” which is the holding company that we are registered under.  If you receive a charge on your credit card under “Paypal” or “Web Venture Asia” or something that resembles that, then you know it is us.

FAQ 3.  What will happen if I accidentally performed a chargeback and how do I rectify it?

Should we receive a chargeback notification from Paypal we will attempt to contact you by phone and /or email and send you a copy verifying the chargeback.  Your account will be temporarily suspended as we assume that you are not continuing with your account. You will need to contact us immediately to resume your account by telephone at 1 888 256 3096.  In the meantime you need to contact first your bank to inform them that the chargeback was done in error so they can move it through.  You may also contact Paypal directly at 1-888-221-1161 and let them know to process the transaction.  Once we receive the confirmation your account will be resumed.

FAQ 4.  What do I do if my subscription doesn’t get charged due to insufficient funds or other issues and my website gets suspended?

If your Paypal account does not have sufficient funds we will be notified by Paypal first and contact you directly by email and/or phone. If you setup the subscription with your credit card there may be occasional issues with charging your card due to credit card expiry dates or other issues.  You will need to contact us by email or phone to temporarily reactivate your account while your payment issue is rectified.   You may rectify this by either adding funds to your Paypal account or by manually sending us  the payment.

You can send us payments by Paypal to our email at or we can send you a Paypal invoice automatically which will allow you to pay online.

To avoid this problem we recommend that you setup a subscription on an annual basis.

Google and MSN/Yahoo are two of the most popular ad networks for PPC.  In fact Google generates most of its corporate revenue from this model of advertising.  The reason it is popular is because it is effective.

We provide PPC management services for our client.  What exactly does this involve?

  1. Pre-deployment Business Model Analysis:  First PPC management requires understanding the business model of the business to be advertised.  This requires understanding the peculiarities, the demographics and the marketing strategies through discussion with the team.  Without a thorough understanding of this, it is impossible to properly setup a campaign.
  2. Research Keywords: If you are a car dealership, you would think that the obvious keywords would be “car” or “cars for sale”, correct?  Well it’s not quite that simple!  If you were to bid on these keywords it would cost so much money it would make your campaign unprofitable and you would unlikely get any sales.  The key to success is coming up with a very large list of “long tail” keywords which are very cheap to bid on.  This strategy is FAR more effective than the bidding on the obvious keywords.  An example of a long tail keyword is “compact cars for sale in austin texas”.    If your ad appears for this search, you know for certain what the customer is looking for making him or her a far higher quality prospect than somewhat who simply typed in “cars for sale in texas” which could include prospects from Houston, Dallas etc.  It would also be far more effective to deploy a strategy where you use more long tail keywords and spend less.  Researching the right keywords is half the game in PPC advertising.  See

Campaign Deployment: After the keywords are created, they must be separated into groups and setup into the desired PPC Network provider such as Google Adwords.   Setting up the campaign includes not only setting up groups but campaigns so they can be tracked.  Also proper analytics tools must be setup on your website to make sure that proper tracking takes place.
  4. Reporting and Analysis: In order to properly setup an ad campaign, constant testing and analysis must be undertaken. We need to ensure each and every keyword is generating a positive ROI (return on investment)
  5. Testing and Redeployment: Based on the reporting (obtained from the analytics tool) and analysis, we continue to research new keywords, remove ineffective ones and create new groups of keywords while testing them against old ones.  This continuous process of refining the campaign is what leads to success.

How much do we charge?

We charge a $200 setup fee for the setup of the campaign and a $199/month flat fee for management with a minimum engagement period of 3 months.  This includes management of up to a maximum of 1000 keyword terms that we would bid on.  All actual ad media costs are billed directly to you based on the budget that you pre-determine.  The actual account would be setup in your company’s name and we would be added as a Power User in order to manage the campaign.
